Hello!I’m Mihir

I’m a Bay Area native with a passion for exploration and design. I earned my BFA degree in Graphic Design in 2021 from Sacramento State University, and soon after I enrolled in a UX/UI Bootcamp at UC Berkeley. With an interest in designing complete end-to-end digital experiences, I was able to refine my design process when it came to presenting a solution to a problem through digital mediums.

As a UX/UI/Product Designer, my design process is often influenced by what the problem at hand is, but usually follows a series of steps that helps me understand the product market, user needs, and stakeholder goals.

Recently I’ve had the experience of working with the digitally native brand Purple on a site-wide web design refresh. Currently I’m looking for opportunities to join a creative environment where I can learn as well as contribute to designing meaningful solutions that have a positive impact for businesses and individuals.

Design Thinking Process

When I approach a project, I like to employ a design thinking framework that allows me to fully understand the problem, iterate ideas, build prototypes, and test solutions. It begins with empathizing with the problem to fully understand user pain points, and thorough research in order to uncover valuable user insights. Actionable data within those insights help drive design decisions when it comes to prototyping, and those decisions are validated within user testing.

In terms of the tools I use to execute my ideas and concepts, I like using Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), as well as web prototyping tools like Figma and Sketch.

Lifestyle

When I’m not designing I’m playing or walking with my pitbull mix Bubba, exploring a new hiking trail or state park while camping, or skiing down the mountains of Lake Tahoe!
